I came here yesterday morning for breakfast with a friend and we absolutely loved it. Food was top notch I had the breakfast bowl and added the biscuit- which I’d highly recommend. Service was personable and efficient you feel right at home! Looking forward to coming back and trying some different menu items.
Fantastic little restaurant in the brewery district. It can get quite busy so you can’t always expect a seat right away. The food is very flavourful. I got the bennies with pulled pork added. It was a beautiful medley of flavours and I highly recommend it to any bennies fans out there. The hollandaise dill is really good, and generally I steer away from anything heavy in dill. Some might find the bennies to be a bit soggy towards the end but I didn’t mind and really enjoyed the meal overall. My breakfast companion got the smashed maple sausage sandwich. They really enjoyed it and recommend it. We both agreed that the potatoes are amazing, and the bottomless drip coffee is excellent, although there are other types of coffee available for the aficionados. Service was good. The young lady was there when we needed her and wasn’t when we didn’t. Exactly the way I like it.
I always have a great experience at Wilfred’s but today was above and beyond because of our server - Hanna! Hanna was kind, attentive, gave great recommendations and just seemed to show up at exactly the right time every time! She went above and beyond for us and just had the best attitude! This does not matter for the review at all but she also looked SUPER cute in her overalls! Our food was also great! We had the pancakes and the amazing breakkie bowl with a side of dill hollandaise. We also watched the interactions between the kitchen and the servers and they were really great! You can tell there is a great group of people working here! ALLLSO as someone with long covid parosmia (distorted smell and taste) it can be nerve wracking to go into a restaurant because sometimes it smells so bad I have to leave… not the restaurants fault.. it smells wonderful to most… well today Wilfred’s smelled amazing when I walked in so that was a treat! 5 stars for sure! Thank you, Hanna for an extra great experience today!
A lovely brunch spot downtown for casual food and a welcoming summer atmosphere. We had a reservation and were promptly seated at a clean and well set booth. The service staff were attentive, and the food was very taste and seemed to make use of high quality ingredients. While the coffee wasn’t necessarily exceptional, was still able to have a decent cortado. If you want a relaxed but high quality brunch, definitely would recommend!

His neighborhood-friendly demeanor made us feel like we were dining with a friend. We highly recommend the fried chicken, fries, and their creative cocktails. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection, with a super crispy and perfectly seasoned batter that added a delightful crunch to each bite. The fries were also delicious, and paired perfectly with the chicken. We’ve tried many dishes over the years, and none has ever disappointed. Came here for YEG coffee pass. They let us get anything off the coffee menu if we ordered food. Flat white and salted caramel latte was quite good. Hot honey chicken sandwich was very crispy and great flavours, but portion was on the smaller side. Squash soup was rich and tasty. Shakshuka was also very good. Overall the food was tasty but a bit on the pricy side for what it was. Good atmosphere, clean and comfortable. Very fast service and attentive staff.
